The G.E. Sayce Cup (Men’s Open) took place on Sunday 7th May. Once again the open was sponsored by local business, Builth Wells Garages Limited, many thanks to Martyn and Tim Evans of Builth Wells Garages for the very generous sponsorship.
Scoring was very good considering the recent greens maintenance that had taken place, the top 9 net scores were all under par!
The first open competition of Builth Wells Golf Club’s Centenary Year was the Senior Men’s Team of Four Open held on Wednesday 19th April.
An excellent entry of 39 teams of four from 24 different clubs from across the UK.

The final Seniors Open event of 2022 took place today, Monday 5th September. Heavy overnight rain had softened the course for the competitors; the top 10 scores were 39 points or better.
Monday 29th August, the final day of the 2022 Open Weekend saw the individual stableford, Heart of Wales Trophy played.
The competition is a mixed gender competition whereby the overall winner of the Heart of Wales Trophy could be male or female.
Friday 23rd August – Team of four, Men, Ladies or Mixed teams. Handicap Limit: 28 men; 36 ladies; Overall best score – Cumberland Cup; Prizes in each category. Tee times: 8.00am - 3.30pm
