The Brecon & Radnor County Golf Union was originally formed as the Brecknock Golf Union in 1932 and in 1949 officially became the Brecon & Radnor County Golf Union.

The union consists of 6 golf clubs of which 3 are 18 holes courses - Builth Wells, Cradoc and Llandrindod Wells and three 9 holes course - Brecon, Knighton and Rhosgoch.

There are a number of championships played throughout the year, Men’s, Ladies, Mixed, Senior Men’s & Ladies, Juniors, Men’s Pairs & Past/Present Club Captain’s & Secretaries.

The county men’s first team play in the Wessex League and the county men’s seniors play in the South Wales League.

BUILTH WELLS GOLF CLUB HAS AN ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP OF 300 PLUS MEMBERS.

The club offers a full competition fixtures schedule for the men’s, ladies and junior sections aimed at all standards of golfer.
