The first club match of the 2008 season was against Kington at Kington Golf Club.

20 players per side took part, once again demonstrating the close relationship between the two clubs.

The match score was 6 - 4 to Kington with the winning pairs from Builth Wells Golf Club being,
John Jones & Norman Allen, John Cox & Danny Bridgeman, Mick Mills & Graham Jackson, John Parker & Andrew Evans.
